Community and Employer Guide
CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS
Coming into classrooms/assemblies and informing students of the opportunities available at your company.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for CTE schools and programs are often very limited. Scholarships to schools that can extend a student’s training and education beyond high school can be helpful.
HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT YOUR COMPANY/COMMUNITY?
Our area youth are our future workforce. Students often first look for jobs with companies they know and with which they are familiar. If they don’t have a family member/friend working for your company, they may have never heard of your business or may not realize the types of jobs that are available in your company.
Sponsoring events/equipment with a sign with your company’s logo, providing scholarships or tuition assistance in your company’s name, hosting tours, providing job shadowing or apprenticeship opportunities or having employees come to classrooms to speak to students about their careers in your business are all ways to help students become more familiar with your company.
EMPLOYER PANELS
Participate in local workshops for CTE Teachers and Counselors. Share your information and insight into your industry.
Please contact us if you would like to learn more about our programs, or if you are interested in getting involved.
ADVISORY BOARD
Participate in annual Program advisory board meetings. These meetings review programs and allow input from companies/community members in the development of programs.
SPONSOR PROGRAMS
Working with Madison CTE and Local Foundations to start endowment funds to help support programs.
